Japanese Metalwork Technique book and film Kickstarter by Ford Hallam

Share Button

For those interested in metal art crafting and Japanese metalworking techniques, this Kickstarter is in it’s final hours (8pm EDT today – Monday May 19). His metalwork using traditional Japanese techniques has been recognized by Japanese sword art and preservation societies. He has won top honours for tsuba submitted to Japan’s Nihonto Bunka Shinko Kyokai (NBSK) “Sword Craftsmen Exhibition” in 2012 and 2013.

Contributors can receive:  being listed in the book as a supporter, an unsigned copy of the book, a signed copy of the book, the book plus access to HiDef supporting instructional video, and more.

If you’re in to metalworking, this may be for you.

An earlier 2 part Youtube project he chronicled the making of a tsuba, duplicating the technique of an ancient master.  This demonstrates the nature of the HD video he plans to accompany the book(s).
