While conducting research for a number of upcoming articles, I ran across the Royal Armouries‘ video YouTube channel.

While they have quite a selection of videos, they have a whole series entitled “Behind the Scenes at the Royal Armouries”.   These fascinating vignettes run some two to five minutes in length.  Their topics include introductions to various weapons and armour sets in their collection:  British, European and Japanese.  They also have specialty interviews with conservationists working on specific weapons or armour, which are technically quite interesting.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a specific sub-area for the “Behind the Scenes” videos on the channel.  Instead, you have to conduct a search to have them come up:  click here to use my search. I’ll post the existing videos below, but you might want to check their channel occasionally to see if new items have come up.

For the sake of ease, I’ll sort these videos into British, European and Japanese sections. Click on the links to jump to those videos on this page.
